eMetCO2 Monthly Meeting #10 – Special Guest Dr. Deepak Pant

The eMetCO2 Monthly Meeting #10 took place on March 30th, bringing together project partners to share updates across all Work Packages and discuss progress, ongoing activities, and upcoming milestones.

This meeting featured a special contribution from Deepak Pant, Senior Scientist and Project Manager at VITO, and an internationally recognised expert in CO₂ electrochemical reduction, electrosynthesis, and bioelectrochemistry. With over 25 years of experience and more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, he provided valuable insights into current challenges and emerging opportunities in the field.

The invited expert highlighted key bottlenecks in CO₂ electroreduction, particularly regarding methanol production pathways. His input helped reinforce the scientific direction of the project and supported ongoing technical discussions within the consortium.
