Participation on the 45th edition of GERSEQ Conference
The eMetCO₂ project was represented by the University of Alicante, namely by Miguel Montiel, who presented the main achievements so far of Work Package 1 with the title: “Energy-efficient technology for electrochemical CO2 reduction to methanol: innovative copper-based and MOFs electrocatalysts”. At the conference, the team provided an overview of the key findings on the synthesis and characterization of novel electrocatalysts and electrodes for the selective conversion of CO₂ into methanol. In particular, they highlighted advances in copper-based nanoparticles and metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) with different metallic centers, developed in collaboration with the University of Tartu. The presentation emphasized the most relevant results regarding the characterization and electrochemical performance of these materials in a two-compartment H-cell configuration.
